Key Responsibilities:

The mechanical engineering intern will be responsible for assisting in the assembly and fabrication of mechanical parts and systems. This includes following technical drawings and instructions for precise builds, troubleshooting mechanical issues during prototyping, handling tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently, working with vendors for fabrication and component procurement, contributing to prototype development and quality checks, supporting 3D CAD work and documentation where needed, procuring local components necessary for mechanical assembly and prototyping, and collaborating with external vendors to ensure accurate fabrication of designs.

Requirements:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to engage in hands-on tasks such as fabrication, assembly, and testing.
  • Understanding of mechanical components and how they fit together.
  • Capacity to follow instructions and stay detail-oriented during builds.
  • Effective communication skills, especially when coordinating with vendors and team members.
