Sun Life is seeking a Product Lead to join the Digital Platform team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of digital financial planning solutions. Your expertise in product management and agile development methodologies will be crucial in driving the success of our digital platform.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure digital products align with the program's strategy and requirements.
  • Integrate team delivery into the broader program delivery schedule and identify interdependencies.
  • Establish a clear vision for each feature and communicate it effectively to stakeholders and the team.
  • Prioritize and manage items in the backlog to maintain a backlog that is 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team.
  • Use market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for the team.
  • Determine end-to-end team output strategy from inception to production.
  • Be accountable for product-specific OKRs and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Stay at the leading edge of existing market solutions and identify how they can transform our experiences.
  • Be an advocate for simplicity of design and development to deliver to market effectively and efficiently.
  • Oversee all required changes to completion by implementing timelines, tracking, and closely overseeing risks and dependencies.
  • Monitor launched digital assets and determine how to optimize their performance.
  • Identify experimentation opportunities and propose test and learns.

  • Knowledge of Sun Life's products, systems, and competitors.
  • Understanding of Sun Life brand, market segments, and clients.
  • Experience in working in financial services or other technology firms, focused on client experience.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner certification.

Education/Experience:



  • Work experience in digital product ownership, product management, product marketing, insurance business, investment business.
  • University degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business, or information technologies.
