Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to design and build robust models for prompt injection protection, toxicity/bias detection, and hallucination/jailbreak identification.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of natural language processing, deep learning (CNN/RNN/Transformers), and large language model architectures, with hands-on experience in Python, SQL, Hugging Face, LangChain, model APIs, and vector stores. Additionally, they should be familiar with front-end basics and model evaluation, red-teaming, or safety interventions in NLP/model systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with machine learning engineers and product teams to integrate safety components into production APIs or applications, staying current with AI research and emerging tools. They will also develop automated pipelines to process, tag, and evaluate model outputs using Python and SQL, leveraging vector databases and embeddings to detect unsafe content or model drift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build LLM guardrails for prompt injection protection, toxicity/bias detection, and hallucination/jailbreak identification.
  • Build and maintain evaluation frameworks to monitor LLM safety, fairness, and compliance.
  • Develop automated pipelines to process, tag, and evaluate LLM outputs using Python and SQL.
  • Leverage vector databases and embeddings to detect unsafe content or model drift.
  • Create internal dashboards and visualizations for POCs and internal tools.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers and product teams to integrate LLM safety components into production APIs or applications.
  • Stay current with AI research, emerging tools, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in data science, applied ML, or model-based applications.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience writing SQL for data exploration or feature engineering.
  • Solid understanding of NLP, deep learning (CNN/RNN/Transformers), and model architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Hugging Face, LangChain, model APIs, and vector stores.
  • Familiarity with front-end basics is a plus.
  • Experience with model evaluation, red-teaming, or safety interventions in NLP/model systems.
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with deploying ML pipelines in production and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
