Job Title: Senior Software Developer

Job Description

The Principal Programmer role is to provide advanced programming support across a range of projects, clients, and therapeutic areas.

The study programmer position will be responsible for manipulating large databases and generating reports to enable analysts to explore real-world healthcare data assets.

  • Excellent SAS and SQL programming skills are required.
  • Candidates must have the ability to implement complex logic.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Creating complex analysis datasets derived from various data sources with careful attention to outliers and errors.
  • Building patient cohorts and evaluating patient healthcare events in large databases using observational research methods such as epidemiology and statistical methods.

Technical Requirements:

Proficient in R and SQL programming, with expertise in Oncology databases such as Flatiron and COTA.

Good understanding of Oncology specific analyses such as Line of Therapy algorithms, Survival analysis, and different statistical models.

Preferable to have R Shiny or Instant Health Data (IHD) experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other subject with high statistical content.
  • Minimum 7-8 years SAS statistical programming experience.
  • Database programming using SQL.
  • Experience with advanced statistical methods such as survival and regression.
  • Experience with real-world healthcare claims and EHR data such as MarketScan, Optum, and Medicare databases.
