Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, deployment, and execution of controls and defenses to ensure the security and risk mitigation of company infrastructure technology, information systems, and digital payment systems.
  • Manage and lead work group meetings, including preparing agendas, prioritizing tasks, and identifying any obstacles that may be present.
  • Identify cybersecurity architecture, goals, objectives, and metrics; analyze business needs and priorities for protecting critical systems.
  • Establish and implement operational policies and appropriate standards and criteria for hardware, software, email, and web firewall, access verification, and encryption requirements.
  • Monitor systems for cybersecurity vulnerabilities, threats, and events, oversee incident response planning, and lead vulnerability audits and forensic investigations.
  • Evaluate potential business impacts from security breaches and provide strategic and tactical guidance to business decision-makers.
  • Support the Chief Information Security Officer in identifying risks and potential controls for mitigating those risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help provide support and guidance to the teams related to security initiatives and requirements.
  • Assist with other projects and initiatives as part of the Compliance team.

Education and Experience:

  • An Associate's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field is required. Accredited certification in these areas is an acceptable substitute.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3 years management of team leader experience is required.
  • At least five (5) years' experience in application security preferably in a software development and/or healthcare environment is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of information security and department processes is required.
  • Two (2) + years' experience in risk assessment and IT risk management is required.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and fix security risks.
  • Ability to build a culture of knowledge and awareness of security issues throughout the organization.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with teams outside the department to develop security solutions and prioritize those solutions.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, penetration testing, static and dynamic code analysis is helpful.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements is helpful.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Customer service skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Strong desire to learn.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Able to manage a variety of tasks concurrently.
