Role Description for Content Specialist

We seek a content professional passionate about the devotional and mythology space, with strong skills in research, writing, and editing in both English and Hindi.

The role involves creating high-quality, SEO-friendly content across multiple formats and channels while maintaining editorial standards and managing calendars.

  1. Content Creation: Develop in-depth rich content on the devotional and mythology space.
  2. Content Development: Translate content for various marketing collaterals/channels like eBooks, infographics, and quizzes in English and Hindi.
  3. Content Research: Research trends, hot and trending keywords, gaps in content online, to create fresh content for the devotional space for Indian and Global users.
  4. Content Quality Assurance: Set up content quality benchmarks and manage the quality of content being published.
  5. Editorial Planning: Create a monthly and seasonal editorial calendar with the editorial team.
  6. Article Commissioning: Commission articles from writers (freelance and in-house) and ensure timely delivery.
  7. Article Evaluation: Evaluate and approve submitted articles for cohesiveness and maintaining the voice and freshness of the content.
  8. Article Editing: Edit and rewrite articles, some of which may be rejected or returned to the writer for revision.
  9. Content Optimization: Edit and rewrite descriptions, website content, marketing communications, etc.
  10. Quality Control: Ensure all published content is of top-notch quality and reader-friendly.
  11. SEO Compliance: Ensure all published content is SEO-friendly.
