Cloud Data Engineer

Our company is seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data ingestion pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and be proficient in programming languages like Python, Scala, or SQL. They will also have a strong understanding of container orchestration tools, including Kubernetes.

The selected candidate will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implementing effective solutions to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Data Ingestion Pipelines: Design and develop scalable and efficient data ingestion pipelines that integrate multiple sources into Databricks.
  • Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for data workflows to ensure seamless deployment and updates.
  • Deploy and Manage Containerized Applications: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Ensure Data Integrity, Security, and Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout the ingestion process by implementing robust checks and balances.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in data ingestion and pipeline development.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark, and data lake architectures.
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, or SQL for data processing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
