Network Security and Optimization Engineer

SITA is looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to support our SD-WAN solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and IT teams, to automate and optimize our systems. Your tasks will include deploying and configuring customer SD-WAN solutions, troubleshooting issues, identifying and implementing solutions, and ensuring that network environments adhere to security best practices and organizational compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with Senior Network Engineers, Architects, and development teams to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to support SD-WAN solutions.
2. Deploy and configure customer SD-WAN solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience.
3. Troubleshoot issues and identify and implement solutions to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
4. Assist with the configuration and management of Cisco network devices, routers, switches, firewalls, and implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
5. Ensure that network environments adhere to security best practices and organizational compliance requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have good problem-solving skills, a strong desire to implement scalable and sustainable technological solutions, and experience with networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, BGP, DHCP, and NTP. Additionally, you should have knowledge and experience in implementing and configuring SD-WAN solutions, as well as experience with languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is also required.
