Job Opportunity: Senior Drainage Design Lead

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our specialist Drainage Design team in Bengaluru.

This role offers excellent opportunities for candidates looking to progress their careers and develop their skills.

The successful candidate will have experience in leading drainage projects through various stages of the design process, from feasibility to planning/detailed design and onto construction.

The candidate will be required to lead the preparation of designs and specifications under the supervision of more senior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Prepare designs in accordance with standards and protocols
  • Technical Review: Conduct technical checking and design reviews
  • Mentorship: Train and mentor junior staff
  • Communication: Lead and attend design review meetings and progress meetings with clients
  • Resource Management: Prepare fee estimates, staff utilisation forecasts and defining project scopes
  • Team Management: Manage a small team along with other line management responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in a consultancy environment
  • Proven track record of dealing with clients and forging effective relationships
  • Mentoring and guiding junior staff
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working to UK standards
  • Adept in AutoCAD, Microstation & Civil3D
  • Proficient in MS Office software and Causeway Flow/MicroDrainage
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards becoming one within 1-2 years

Educational Qualification:

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering/Environmental/Water Resources Engineering
