Job Purpose

As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's infrastructure operations.

  • Develop and implement an effective infrastructure strategy for the company, encompassing both on-premise data center management and cloud deployments.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, identifying opportunities for improvement or leveraging these systems.
  • Negotiate purchases of software, hardware, and other IT supplies as approved by senior management.
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Collaborate with senior management and peers to gain acceptance on alternative approaches.
  • Oversee daily operations and activities of outsourced teams.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex business problems, requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Perform live disaster recovery (DR) activities and periodic DR drills.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network fundamentals.
  • Ensure production incident management and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Profile:

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)/Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/Master of Computer Applications (MCA)/Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Experience:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure management for both on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructure.

Skills Required:

  • Program and project management expertise.
  • Planning and executing infra-related projects.
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of infra such as server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network.
  • Excellent knowledge and exposure to cloud computing.

Functional Competencies Required:

  • Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategies.
  • Holistic understanding of all data center functions, including production operations, change control, disaster recovery/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities.
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration consideration.
