Interior Design Development Manager

Expertise: Automotive Engineering
Experience: 5-10 years
This role is within the Body Engineering team.
You'll lead the engineering design, technical development, and delivery of interior components for new or ongoing programs through to launch at the manufacturing plant.
- Area of Responsibility:
- Door Trim: Soft & Hard trims, including door trims, tailgate trims, door claddings, pillar capping, finishers etc.
You will have responsibility for:
- Delivering commodity plans to quality, cost, and time.
- Managing change requests, expenditure forecasting, and supplier teams in support of program milestones.
- Resolving compatibility issues with A-surfaces for technical feasibility.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience of leading business, technical, and process issues in a project team environment.
- A good working knowledge of product creation, delivery, change control, product definition, and change management processes.
- Knowledge of automotive body cabin systems, plastic & sheet metal materials, design rules, bill of design, bill of process, DFMEA, DVP, DFM, part & assembly level tests etc.
Required Qualification:
- BE/B. Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering
You should have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels.
