Design and Engineering Head (Vacuum Furnace)

We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our vacuum furnace design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and developing vacuum furnace systems.

About the Role

The Design and Engineering Head (Vacuum Furnace) will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of vacuum furnace systems. This includes:

  • Developing and implementing new designs and technologies to improve existing products and processes
  • Liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and industry standards
  • Collaborating with suppliers and partners to source materials and components
  • Maintaining and improving existing designs and processes to optimize performance and efficiency
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • At least 15 years of experience in vacuum furnace design and engineering
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Inventor

Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

Knowledge of thermal exchange calculations and material science
