Content Editor for Sports News and Entertainment

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Editor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced sports media company.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for editing and publishing high-quality articles daily, ensuring they resonate with readers.
  • As a mentor, you will inspire writers and help them grow as contributors to the team.
  • Collaborate closely with our skilled team of writers, editors, and content managers in a dynamic newsroom environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Refining stories to deliver value to our audience.
  • Analyzing article performance metrics to consistently improve content quality.
  • Creating engaging headings and subheadings using SEO principles.
  • Staying up-to-date on breaking news and live events to keep our readers informed.

To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/ Journalism or a related field. A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading or a similar role is required.

A strong command of the English language, understanding of American culture and basic knowledge of SEO are essential. Leadership skills and creativity are also highly valued.
