Job Title: GCP Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Your primary focus will be on developing and deploying data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Airflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, GCS, and Cloud Composer. You will also be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of these systems.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and experience with big data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Sqoop, Hive, and Spark. Additionally, you should have hands-on expertise in either Python or Java programming and be familiar with DevOps practices.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the deployment of customers' workloads into GCP and provide guidance on cloud adoption models, service integrations, and technical roadmaps.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and implement technology solutions based on industry standards using GCP's IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS capabilities. You will also be responsible for defining solution architectures and reference architectures with a focus on cloud technologies.

We are looking for a subject-matter expert who can become a trusted advisor to multiple teams and act as a key driver in the development of our cloud strategy.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale data processing systems on GCP
  • Develop and deploy data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Airflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, GCS, and Cloud Composer
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of data processing systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the deployment of customers' workloads into GCP
