Quantitative Engineer

At Goldman Sachs, we're seeking a talented Quantitative Engineer to join our Bengaluru team. As a key member of our Wealth Management group, you will leverage your expertise in mathematical and computational finance to develop innovative models and tools that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work closely with our Risk Managers to design and implement cutting-edge analytics, tools, and models that streamline risk management, detect fraud, and optimize profitability. Your tasks will include:
- Product pricing: Develop financial return-on-equity models to improve how lenders set rates across our portfolio of products.
- Funding optimization: Design quantitative models to help understand and realize the value of our non-maturity deposits business for internal funding.
- Risk Management: Develop quantitative models and tools to manage our private bank's risk, including rate-sensitive prepayment models and counterparty credit risk management.
- Scenario analysis: Build models to project the impact of various stress scenarios on our balance sheet and inform our capital adequacy under stress.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a quantitative or engineering field, including mathematics, physics, quantitative finance, computational finance, computer science, or engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in quantitative financial modeling and software development positions.
- Programming and mathematical skills are required.
- Creativity, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas to various audiences.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment.
