Job Description

We are seeking a skilled FPGA Architect to lead our design and development efforts on various projects in a fast-paced environment. As an FPGA Architect, you will be responsible for defining and developing complex FPGA designs for our products.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, system architects, solution teams, developers, engineers, and technicians to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in electrical or electronic engineering and experience in FPGA development. You should also be able to collaborate effectively with other design teams located in the US and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop complex FPGA designs for our products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones
  • Work with system architects to define the system architecture and determine how the FPGA will interface with other components on the board
  • Choose an appropriate FPGA based on project requirements
  • Ensure timing closure for complex designs
  • Create documents like product definition, detailed FPGA design, hardware & software interface documents

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in electrical or electronic engineering
  • Minimum 7+ years of R&D experience in FPGA development (Altera, Xilinx)
  • Experience with RTL languages - VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGA Tools Design Flow - Vivado, Chipscope, Quartus
  • Experience with EDA Functional Simulation tools – Synopsys or Mentor or Cadence
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, protocols, and product segments
  • Experience creating self-checking simulation environment involving test bench, scripts for automation, writing test cases

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Keysight instruments like Oscilloscope, Analyzer, AWG & BERT
  • Experience working on protocols such as PCI Express, USB, MIPI (MPHY, DPHY, CPHY based), Ethernet, DDR etc.
  • Experience in international collaboration (US & EUR)
  • Experience in multi-vendor collaboration (software supplied by and/or to external organizations)
