Club Operations Manager Job Description

The Club Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the club, ensuring seamless execution of events, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

About the Role:

  • Operational Excellence: Coordinate and oversee the execution of club events, workshops, speaker sessions, and client visits. Develop an annual activity calendar and track progress.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the point of contact between the club, external partners, vendors, and members. Minutes of meeting, follow-ups on points agreed, and execution of the same.
  • Team Leadership: Properly delegate, monitor, and evaluate specifically assigned responsibilities of team. Ensure all staff consistently comply with the uniform policy by always wearing the designated attire while on duty.
  • Budget Management: Assist in managing club resources, sponsorships, and budget allocation for events. Coordinate with management for any necessary approvals or procurement.
  • Membership Experience: Consistently deliver a high standard of customer service by creating a welcoming, supportive environment for all members. Promptly and professionally address concerns, complaints, or suggestions, turning potential issues into opportunities to strengthen member relationships and improve club services.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensures the fitness club operates in full compliance with local, state, and industry health regulations, including sanitation standards, emergency protocols, and staff certification. Implements and monitors safety procedures across all areas—workout zones, locker rooms, and group class studios—to minimize risk and protect members and staff.
  • Program Development: Strategically plan, coordinate, and oversee a variety of engaging fitness programs, wellness challenges, workshops, and social events that cater to diverse member interests and goals. Collaborate closely with instructors, personal trainers, and wellness professionals to design and implement innovative offerings that enhance the member experience, boost participation, and support overall club engagement.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain documentation of all club activities for audit, continuity, and institutional reporting. Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
