Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake engineer to join our team as a data architect.

  • Data Engineers design and implement robust data models in cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake.
  • They develop and optimize SQL code for views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
  • Data Architects build dimensional models ensuring data is structured for performance and scalability.
  • ETL/ELT pipeline developers utilize tools like Informatica, Matillion, dbt, Apache Airflow, or native Snowflake tasks.
  • Integrating diverse data sources into Snowflake from cloud/on-prem systems requires expertise in data integration.
  • Data quality and lineage management ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Candidates with experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for Snowflake integration and storage are preferred.
  • Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Stages enable continuous data loading and transformation.
  • Data security, access control, RBAC, and data masking are crucial in Snowflake.
  • Data governance and compliance with organizational policies are essential.
  • Tuning query performance and warehouse sizing requires optimization skills.
  • Maintaining cost usage and optimizing resource consumption within Snowflake is vital.
  • Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and BI teams ensures data requirements are met.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Snowflake development and administration.
  • Strong command of SQL, performance tuning, and Snowflake-specific features.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and cloud services.
  • Experience with data modeling, partitioning, and columnar storage concepts.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and security best practices.
  • Snowflake certification is beneficial.
  • Python or scripting experience for orchestration and CI/CD pipeline management is desirable.
