Image Processing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement efficient image processing pipelines for satellite optical sensor data.
  • Develop solutions for cloud-based processing to handle large-scale satellite data efficiently.
  • Apply cutting-edge techniques such as deep learning, object detection, and spectral analysis to extract meaningful insights from optical imagery.
  • Ensure pipeline automation, efficiency, and scalability to handle high-volume satellite data processing tasks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate image processing pipelines into broader systems.
  • Participate in quality assurance practices to ensure high-quality image products.

Document pipeline architecture, algorithms, processes, and development timelines thoroughly, and report progress to key stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of industrial experience in satellite/drone image processing focusing on optical sensor data.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Proficiency in image processing and computer vision algorithms.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using libraries like OpenCV, GDAL.
Good to Have Skills:
  • Experience with machine learning techniques for image analysis.
  • Familiarity with geospatial data formats and tools (e.g., GeoTIFF, QGIS, ArcGIS).
