Job Overview

The Facilities Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our west region sort centers. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of facilities planning, including maintenance and 3rd party service provider management.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Drive HI project, Project elevate, and HK SOP standardization activity in the west region as per project elevate guidelines.">
  • Oversee overall building and facilities maintenance, focusing on reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.">
  • Lead a team of 3rd party technicians in equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting, fault finding, and repairs.">
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance routines on equipment.">
  • Establish and maintain vendor AMC agreements with appropriate service levels for equipment.">
  • Coordinate material purchasing with the procurement team and develop spare part identification and stock level management systems.">
  • Provide feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability.">
  • Manage day-to-day issues on equipment with the operations team, defining priorities and organizing work with their team.">
  • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and 3rd party facilities service providers, setting goals, priorities, and staff training to ensure service levels.">
  • Maintain a safe working environment by applying Amazon's safety policy and collaborating with the safety team to improve site safety.">
  • Ensure the site adheres to 5S standards through building housekeeping initiatives.">
  • Support the engineering team in installing new equipment.">
  • Serve as a leader within the group and other teams, providing technical guidance during critical events.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Controls Engineering or an equivalent diploma with relevant experience. A minimum of 4 cumulative years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities is required.

Key qualifications include:

">
  • Significant impactful experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced industrial, logistics, production, or manufacturing environment.">
  • Results-oriented approach with excellent analytical, team leadership, and organizational skills.">
  • Ability to work under pressure in a cross-functional organization and with minimal supervision.">
  • Electrical and mechanical background, with experience in installation, commissioning, and operations of electrical distribution systems, HVAC installation, fire alarm and suppression systems, general building MEP systems, material handling, and conveying equipment/systems.">
  • Experience in subcontractor management to ensure quality of work.">
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.">
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role managing people.">
  • Computer skills (MS Office required, CMMS, AUTOCAD preferred).">

Preferred Qualifications:

BE or Diploma (Electrical/Electronics) with more than 4 years of experience in warehousing, building services, manufacturing, maintenance of utilities and buildings, automation & controls.
