Electronic Data Interchange Expert

Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting EDI solutions using IBM Sterling is your primary goal as a key team member.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate EDI with Order Management Systems (OMS), streamlining order processing, inventory management and fulfillment processes.

EDI mapping, translation and communication processes are managed and supported. Collaborations with customers and external partners include onboarding, testing and maintaining EDI connections.

Transmission errors, mapping discrepancies and communication failures must be monitored and resolved promptly. Root cause analysis of EDI failures is conducted, followed by implementation of corrective actions.

Compliance with industry standards (e.g. ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and company-specific EDI requirements is ensured.

Technical documentation, including EDI mapping specifications, system configurations and workflows, must be prepared and maintained.

Collaboration with IT teams is essential for supporting system upgrades, patches and integration efforts when needed. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting system upgrades and integration efforts
