Corporate Tax Specialist

A key role within our tax advisory team is available, assisting clients with varied corporate tax issues.
This position involves evaluating jurisprudence, analyzing transactions end-to-end from Income-tax and FEMA perspectives, dealing with tax controversy/litigation matters of clientele, etc.
Responsibilities include taking responsibility for client engagements and assignments, handling client engagements end-to-end related to Direct Tax Laws, such as Tax Structuring, Tax Advisory, On-going Compliance, Tax Litigation support, etc.
The ideal candidate will independently analyze, research technical issues, and interpret provisions under the Income Tax Act as also provisions pertaining to International Tax, dealing with interpretation of Tax Treaties.
Qualifications and Skills- Qualified Chartered Accountants with experience in Direct Tax - Income Tax & DTAAs, International Tax
- Working knowledge of FEMA & Corporate Law
- Willingness of handling tax office matters
- Work experience of minimum 3-5 years post qualification
- Keeping abreast with updates/amendments in tax laws, judicial precedents, etc.
- Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in managing projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- Passion for client servicing
- Number crunching ability
- Excellent eye for detail and deliberation
- Efficiency in MS Office and report/submission drafting skills
- Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks assigned
