Job Title:

Accounting Professional with Strong Technical Leadership

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month and quarter-end accounting processes for a legal entity, ensuring accurate and timely close of accounts.
  • Manage local statutory audits, including preparation of financial statements in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Assess risks over accounts and areas of responsibility, applying judgment to ensure financial integrity.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain account reconciliations consistent with GAAP and corporate policies.
  • Research and document company positions on technical accounting issues, effectively communicating and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Internal Controls to maintain robust internal controls of subsidiaries and comply with company policy.
  • Support compliance and improve processes and internal controls, implementing simple workflows where needed.
  • Stay current on evolving accounting standards and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies.
  • Apply professional skepticism and an inquisitive approach to review and analyze general ledger, books of accounts, and statutory financial statements.
  • Lead and coordinate with stakeholders to complete internal, ICFR, interim, and statutory audits.
  • Own compliance activities in accounting, company secretarial, banking, and related regulatory compliances.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Degree in Accountancy, CA/CPA qualification, and 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and tax compliances.
  • Experience in end-to-end legal entity level accounts finalization as per IFRS/Ind AS accounting standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, withholding tax, regular tax compliance, transfer pricing, GST, and other tax compliances.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Ind-AS.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Oracle R12 or similar software systems.
  • Experience with direct and indirect tax compliance, including compliances related to intercompany transactions.
