About This Role

We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a Maritime Educator - Oceanic Studies at MIT ADT University.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will teach and mentor students in the field of nautical science, focusing on oceanic studies. The role requires a strong understanding of maritime education and experience in teaching and research.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses related to oceanic studies, including marine biology, oceanography, and navigation.
  • Mentor students in research projects and academic papers.
  • Develop and implement curricula for undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to integrate oceanic studies into other disciplines.

Requirements

  • Master (Foreign Going) Certificate of Competency by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India.
  • Or, officers from the Indian Navy/Coast Guard with navigational experience and a long Navigation and Direction course completion.
  • VICT/TOTA Course Certificate.
  • Desirable: 1 year of teaching experience in Marine Training Institutes.
