Job Description

As a critical role, we require a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. This position entails leading day-to-day financial operations and compliance efforts for both our India and U.S. entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end accounting operations across India and U.S. entities in accordance with local and U.S. GAAP standards.
  • Own the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and reporting on areas like revenue recognition, AR/AP, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and deliver in-depth financial analyses and insights to leadership.
  • Manage statutory audits, tax audits, GST filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Oversee AR/AP operations, cash flow monitoring, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Drive tax calculations, assessments, and audit preparation in partnership with advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for finance operations.
  • Generate and analyze MIS reports for internal leadership and decision-making.
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and automate financial processes.

What Youll Do

Specific Tasks:
  1. Accounting Operations: lead the team responsible for accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
  2. Financial Analysis: prepare and present regular financial analysis reports to senior management, highlighting trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  3. Compliance Management: oversee all aspects of compliance, including statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory filings, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  4. Cash Flow Management: develop and implement effective cash flow management strategies, minimizing risks and maximizing returns.
  5. Process Improvement: continuously identify and implement process improvements, streamlining financial operations and enhancing efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a multinational company or Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in financial tools such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, and Excel.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Background in Big 4 accounting firms or multinational companies.
  • Experience working with cloud-based financial systems and software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including tax laws and financial reporting standards.
