Job Overview

A Mendix administrator is responsible for managing the platform and its applications within an organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Management: Inviting new users, managing user roles and permissions, setting up App Access Groups, and ensuring appropriate access to applications and data.
  • Application Deployment and Monitoring: Deploying new applications, monitoring their performance, and managing the application lifecycle.
  • Platform Configuration and Maintenance: Configuring settings within the Mendix platform, managing Marketplace content, and ensuring the platform is running smoothly.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Addressing issues related to the platform and applications, working with users and technical teams to resolve problems.
  • Security Management: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the platform and its data, including user authentication and authorization.
  • Managing Users and Groups: Adding, removing, and modifying user accounts and access rights.
  • Deploying Applications: Deploying new applications, managing versions, and monitoring performance.
  • Configuring Platform Settings: Setting up company-specific configurations, such as security settings and branding.
  • Troubleshooting Issues: Investigating and resolving platform and application-related issues.
  • Documenting Processes: Creating and maintaining documentation for platform usage and administration.

The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in Mendix administration, be proficient in user and access management, application deployment, and troubleshooting, and possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. The successful applicant will also need to stay up-to-date with the latest platform features and best practices.
