Job Description

  • Operating System Support: The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for the installation and configuration of operating systems across various devices.
  • Hardware Support: This role involves assembling, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware to ensure optimal performance.
  • Software Support: The engineer will install, configure, backup, and troubleshoot standard applications including MS Outlook.
  • Network Support: Responsibilities include the installation and troubleshooting of network printers; VPN and firewall configuration.
  • Security: Ensuring the security of company assets through BitLocker encryption, antivirus updates, and virus protection management.
  • Active Directory Management: The engineer will manage user account creation, password resets, group policy updates, and access control within the Active Directory.
  • Remote Support: Providing remote assistance for software and system-related issues to end-users.
  • Asset Management: Coordinating with vendors for hardware issues and maintaining inventory records for hardware and software assets.
