Urdu Language Specialist

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Urdu Language Specialist to support the development of AI models by ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and creative adaptability in Urdu.

This exciting opportunity combines expertise in Urdu with creativity, critical thinking, and editorial skills while working with global AI research teams in a collaborative environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate, engaging, and contextually appropriate written responses in Urdu for a variety of prompts.
  • Evaluate and review both human- and AI-generated content for accuracy, tone, clarity, safety, and cultural alignment.
  • Provide detailed linguistic assessments, focusing on style, nuance, bias, clarity, and intent.
  • Conduct peer reviews of linguistic contributions to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Design creative content such as prompts, role-play scenarios, games, and thought experiments to test and challenge AI capabilities.
  • Explore cultural aspects of Urdu language use, including idioms, humor, irony, and traditions.
Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Urdu with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong English-language communication skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Urdu writing, editing, or content creation with command over tone, style, and genre.
  • In-depth knowledge of Urdu culture, idioms, humor, and societal nuances.
  • Experience in linguistics, translation, teaching, or language-related projects preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and refine text for clarity, engagement, and accuracy.
  • Willingness to complete a Urdu writing skills assessment during the selection process.
