Canadian Accounting and Taxation Job

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a key role in our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with Canadian financial regulations and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with ASPE or IFRS standards.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • File GST/HST, payroll remittances, corporate tax (T2), and other regulatory returns in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with personal tax filings during tax season and provide expert advice to clients as needed.
  • Liaise with external auditors, CRA, and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • CA or CA Intern designation is required for this position.
  • Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as Profile, TaxCycle, CaseWare, or Cantax is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian tax rules and filing procedures is necessary for success in this role.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills are mandatory.
