The Tata Steel Foundation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel Limited, established to create an enlightened and equitable society. With over 1500 members spread across 14 units and six states in India, the Foundation focuses on co-creating solutions with tribal and excluded communities to address their development challenges.
As a Community Development Manager at the Tata Steel Foundation, you will be responsible for managing community development initiatives through the implementation and monitoring of programmes & projects targeting all sections of society. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective stakeholder management, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders, government officials, and other stakeholders.
The key deliverables for this role include:
- Developing microenterprises for the socio-economic development of marginalized communities.
- Identifying required training and exposure to be imparted; facilitating beneficiaries to implement learnings and get employed.
- Developing and nurturing trainees, entrepreneurs, group-based as well as individuals, and facilitating them for forward-backward linkage. Focus on Women's SHGs that are already functional in the operational area.
This position offers a competitive salary of ₹9,00,000 - ₹12,00,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong project planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation skills. Digital literacy is a must, and you should be adept in computer literacy, dexterous with MS-Office. Good documentation and reporting skills in relation to community development-related project proposals are essential. Strong communication (English, Hindi) and interpersonal skills are also crucial, as you will be working closely with marginalized communities and other stakeholders.
