Pastry Specialist

This role involves the preparation of a variety of pastry and dessert items according to provided recipes and images. The successful candidate will be assigned a workstation in the pastry galley by the Pastry Executive Chef and will work on different tasks.

• Prepare pastry and dessert menu items according to recipes and images.
• Manage assigned workstation in the pastry galley.
• Set up pastry displays on buffets as needed.
• Assist with transporting food items from main storage areas to the pastry galley.
• Clean and sanitize working areas and utensils following US Public Health regulations.
• Participate in early standby in the pastry galley for USPH purposes.
• Provide assistance to guests and crew members with inquiries.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, courses, and other work-related activities as required.

• Minimum two years' experience as a pastry specialist in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and equipment usage.
• Completion of high school or basic education equivalency requirement.

The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a fast-paced environment. A valid health certificate is required prior to commencing employment.
