About the Role

At Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer - Linux System Programming to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge Linux-based in-flight entertainment and cabin management systems.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining system-level software in Linux environments. Your expertise in C/C++ programming languages, Linux operating system internals, and kernel architecture will be essential in designing and implementing system applications, libraries, kernel modules, and drivers.

Additionally, you will collaborate with our hardware teams to develop and support hardware-software interfaces. Your strong understanding of Linux system calls, multithreading, and synchronization mechanisms will enable you to debug and resolve complex system issues, including kernel panics and system crashes.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who can stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Linux system programming and open-source technologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain system-level software in Linux environments
  • Write and optimize C/C++ code for performance and scalability
  • Design and implement system applications, libraries, kernel modules, and drivers
  • Debug and resolve complex system issues, including kernel panics and system crashes
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to develop and support hardware-software interfaces
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Linux system programming and open-source technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in software development, particularly in system-level programming
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating system internals, including kernel architecture, memory management, and file systems
  • Experience with Linux system calls, multithreading, and synchronization mechanisms
  • Familiarity with debugging tools such as GDB, strace, and perf
  • Knowledge of distributed version control systems like Git and SVN
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Ruby
  • Experience with Docker and similar containerization technologies
  • Familiarity with Linux networking and security features
  • Contributions to open-source projects
  • Knowledge of hardware-software co-design and embedded systems
  • Proficient in German language skills
