  • Experience as a VFX Supervisor or equivalent position.
  • Knowledge of Houdini software, particularly in RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Artistic skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity, with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

As a VFX Mentor, your primary responsibility will be to provide training and guidance to our team of VFX artists. Your tasks will include:

  • Developing and delivering training programs on Houdini software, focusing on advanced techniques and best practices.
  • Providing one-on-one mentorship and coaching to individual artists, helping them to improve their skills and address specific challenges.
  • Collaborating with other mentors and experts to develop and implement new training materials and programs.
  • Assisting in the design and delivery of training sessions, workshops, and masterclasses.
  • Contributing to the development of our company's VFX training program, including creating and updating course materials, outlines, and assessments.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a VFX Supervisor or equivalent position.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Houdini software, with a strong understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
  • Proven track record of successful mentoring and coaching, with a focus on artist development and growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Artistic skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity, with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
