- Use technology: Work with transcription software, speech recognition tools, and electronic health records (EHR).
- Format reports: Ensure documents meet hospital/clinic formatting and style requirements.
- Collaborate: Communicate with doctors or healthcare providers for clarification when needed.
- Deliver timely: Produce error-free reports within strict deadlines.
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Fast and accurate typing skills.
- Good grammar, punctuation, and editing ability.
- Knowledge of healthcare documentation standards.
- Familiarity with medical transcription software & EHR systems.
- Ability to work independently with high concentration.
Candidates should have any graduate degree. Specialized medical transcription training/certification is highly preferred.
