Job Summary
The Senior Software Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of global software products and bespoke solutions for BI Worldwide India Private Limited. This role involves strategizing, planning, and implementing software products and customized solutions to meet the company's global customer needs. The successful candidate will own all aspects of technical delivery, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality results. This role requires managing and directing teams of Business Analysts, application architects, software Engineers, and Quality Assurance engineers. The Delivery Manager will work closely with Product Owners, Application Managers, and Business Analysts located globally to positively impact the overall delivery of information technology services as part of the technology team's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Owns end-to-end development and delivery of global software products and bespoke solutions.
- Collaborates with geographically distributed product owners, application managers, and business analysts to define and design software solutions.
- Leads and directs Agile teams consisting of architects, engineers, and quality assurance professionals involved in software products/application development.
- Primarily responsible for project and resource planning, including budget estimation and timelines; identifying risks, planning, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Forecasts and manages team productivity/utilization goals for the assigned portfolio.
- Manages and adheres to delivery-related SLA commitments.
- Manages associate appraisals, performance management, and actively involves in career development activities.
- Responsible for technology induction and training of new hires.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 15+ years of IT application development-related experience with 5+ years of managing mid-large-sized delivery teams.
- 5+ years of Software Project Management experience on web-based solutions using tech-stack such as Java/Oracle, .NET/SQL server, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of working in onsite/offshore model or geographically distributed environments.
- 2+ years of experience using DevOps, Cloud, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent project management fundamentals and strong experience in using one or more of industry-standard project management and collaboration tools.
- Excellent technical and business understanding.
- Strong understanding of information security and data privacy; experience with ISMS, GDPR, or HITRUST will be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including appropriate assertive skills and presentation skills.
- Excellent business case analysis skills in identifying the ROI for solutions provided by the team.
- Experience with managing QA automation engineers is a plus.
