Job Summary

  • Network Administrator Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Ensure continuous network availability and monitor link utilization.
    • Maintain accurate network device inventory and configuration records.
  • Firewall and Security Operations:
    • Implement and manage firewall access controls for secure data transfer.
    • Enforce IP whitelisting and block malicious activity to safeguard against security threats.
    • Review and update firewall rule bases to maintain optimal security posture.
    • Monitor NIPS/IPS logs and deploy relevant signatures to enhance threat detection.
  • Device Configuration and Backup:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive backup strategy for network devices.
    • Configure VLAN settings on L2 switches to optimize network performance.
    • Manage network device passwords to ensure secure access.
  • Access and User Management:
    • Suspend or deactivate user accounts and VPN access as needed.
    • Conduct regular reviews of administrative access rights.
  • Load Balancer Operations:
    • Perform regular backups and maintenance tasks on load balancers.
    • Create new application rules to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Incident and Change Management:
    • Respond promptly to Level 1 incidents via email and phone.
    • Document and implement changes using RFCs.
    • Collaborate with OEMs for efficient issue resolution.
  • Cloud and Virtualization Awareness:
    • Familiarize yourself with AWS and Azure firewall security best practices.
    • Understand ACI/AVS switch installation procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in network administration.
  • Proficiency in managing on-prem, cloud, and hybrid network environments.
