Program Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced software development professional to lead our engineering teams in the automotive domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex software projects, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end software development projects in the automotive domain, aligning with business goals and customer requirements.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Agile Implementation:
  • Drive Agile practices and methodologies across cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by identifying and addressing bottlenecks in the development process.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, product managers, and customers.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans effectively to all stakeholders.
Compliance and Standards:
  • Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards, particularly ISO 26262 for functional safety.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
Tool Proficiency:
  • Utilize Jira for project tracking, backlog management, and reporting.
  • Leverage GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Overall 10 years of experience in which 5+ years of experience in software project/program management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with automotive embedded systems and software.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 and its application in automotive software development.
  • Experience with version control systems like GitHub.
