Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level technical expertise to project teams for the successful delivery of projects across the globe.
  • Offer sound knowledge of various Mechanical systems, including HVAC, PHE, Compressed air systems, Fire Protection, and sustainability.
  • Lead complex projects, design of mobility and other building projects, infrastructure projects in various regions, stage working, risk assessments, and team management.
  • Interfacing with other disciplines, clients, and regions.
  • Develop solutions for complex issues or unusual situations.
  • Participate in bid support, reviewing estimates, and training junior designers and team members.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review of complex design deliverables for major projects for HVAC, PHE, Fire, and related systems.
  • Assist design teams in finding optimal solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Participate in tender teams and advise on technical solutions.
  • Perform independent technical reviews for complex projects across regions.
  • Operate outside the project environment to support professional leadership in your discipline.
  • Provide direction to colleagues managing large or complex multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Continuously improve design processes leveraging technology to minimize risk.
  • Role model Arcadis' HS&W principles with a robust understanding of safe design processes.
  • Actively participate in discipline and organizational initiatives for the betterment of the organization and people.
  • Be a role model for effective delegation to achieve best outcomes for the team and organization.
  • Develop strong partnering relationships with GBA to identify and resolve issues, identify business opportunities, and establish protocols.
  • Drive innovation to increase team contribution for the successful operation of the business.
  • Actively innovate to ensure all projects contribute to sustainable developments.
  • Stay up-to-date with future trends and technologies and assist in implementing them in projects.
  • Achieve efficiency and quality improvements through automation.

Nice to Have:

  • Sound knowledge of design process, document security, and management using electronic document management systems.
  • Evidence of involvement and key role in major projects and complex designs.
  • Evidence of producing risk assessment or technical analysis reports or case studies.
  • Expertise in industry-relevant design tools like CAD, Revit, MicroStation, AECOSIM, OBD, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Experience in design software like IES, Design builder, HAP, HEVACOMP, etc.
  • Experience in CFD analysis and related software.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Evidence of substantial contribution to team development and training.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15+ years of design experience with a wide variety of mobility, other buildings, and infrastructure projects.
  • Candidate should have experience in leading and managing complex design projects independently.
  • Chartership with reputed international professional bodies is preferred.
