Structural Engineering Team Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineering Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a senior role in project work and be focused on production and liaison with international teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive feasibility study reports to meet client requirements and review them with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with global teams to develop design specifications compliant with client requirements.
  • Agree and monitor project scope with relevant stakeholders.
  • Clearly define building requirements and purpose of use with clients and project teams.
  • Carry out detailed structural designs as per client requirements in accordance with standard codes and technical reviews.
  • Review and monitor the production of calculations including QA and technical reviews.
  • Ensure that information for project costing preparation is completed in requisite detail and to deadlines.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents (drawings and specifications) and reviews input from team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural design with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record.
  • Good presentation skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with technical structural software such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE and STAAD is required.
  • A sound understanding of Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology is essential.
  • Demonstrate strong management, communication, and technical skills.

  • Possession of British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is desirable.
  • At least 12 years of experience in structural engineering is preferred.
