System Integration Specialist

Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading the design of electrical and low-voltage systems in data-center or industrial projects. You will oversee the implementation of building management systems, chiller plant automation, fire detection, public address systems, telecommunications, and security systems.

The successful candidate will be required to have a thorough understanding of project requirements by adhering to relevant codes & standards. They must select suitable instruments or devices and their specifications for building automation, fire alarm, and security system design.

At the preliminary stage, you will review project documents, TIA-942-B Standard for Data Centers, Indian and International codes, to develop a comprehensive design approach.

You will be responsible for preparing/reviewing basis of design, BMS IO summary, sequence of operations for various systems, cause & effect matrix for Fire alarm system, detail drawings for field devices and cable conduit layouts, tender documents, technical specifications, material requisition, data sheets, and BOQ as per requirement.

You will also prepare TBA/TBE, review technical data sheets and shop drawings submitted by vendors/contractors, evaluate and perform design reviews, participate in team meetings to ensure timely deliverables, coordinate with other disciplines, perform squad checks on drawings received from other disciplines, and coordinate with the construction team to ensure proper installation as per design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement electrical and low-voltage system designs for data-center or industrial projects.
  • Oversee the integration of building management systems, chiller plant automation, fire detection, public address systems, telecommunications, and security systems.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant codes & standards for all electrical and low-voltage system designs.
  • Lead and manage teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Prepare and review design documentation, including basis of design, BMS IO summary, sequence of operations, and detail drawings.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in handling electrical and low-voltage design activities.
  • BE/B. Tech in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiar with Data Center Master Plan, Concept, Schematics.
  • Knowledge of 3D engineering, proficiency in review of 3D models using Navisworks is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of electrical and low-voltage codes and standards is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of IS/IEC standards.
Skills
  • Self-driven with good management & reporting capabilities.
  • Understanding on TIA-942-B Standard for Data Centers.
  • Application of 3D review software like Navisworks.
  • Application of other supporting software like Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Competent user of MS Office 365: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
