We are seeking an exceptional professional to lead our investment efforts. As a Chief Investment Officer, you will be responsible for crafting investment theses, building a high-quality deal pipeline, and executing transactions that drive value for our portfolio companies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deal evaluation, with experience spanning seed to growth stages. They will be well-networked, with access to credible sources across founders, angels, bankers, and operators. Strong analytical skills, including a grasp of unit economics, cohort retention, marketplaces, SaaS metrics, working-capital cycles, and path to profitability, are essential.
A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with a bias towards action and low ego. They will be able to synthesize complex information, frame key questions, and pressure-test assumptions. Experience with term-sheet negotiations and sector depth in fintech, SaaS, AI, and consumer industries is a plus.
Key Responsibilities- Sourcing & Thesis: Build and maintain a quality pipeline across seed/early and later-stage deals. Develop and refresh thematic theses, leveraging your network to find non-obvious opportunities.
- Evaluation & IC Prep: Run fast screens and deep dives, building and auditing financial models, scenario/cap table simulations, and exit pathways. Draft crisp Investment Memos with clear theses, risks, mitigants, and decision checkpoints.
- Diligence Leadership: Define diligence scope, select/manage external partners, and coordinate data-room requests, red-flag logs, and management Q&A. Synthesize findings into go/no-go recommendations with practical remedies and terms.
- Transaction Execution: Support term sheet design, valuation rationale, rights, and protections aligned to founder-friendly principles. Coordinate with counsel on definitive docs and ensure clean close checklists and post-close obligations.
- Portfolio Support & Follow-ons: Onboard each company into our advisor network, drive targeted help, track portfolio health, and prepare follow-on cases.
