Programmers.IO is seeking skilled IBMi professionals for a flexible remote work environment.

About the Role

As an expert in custom web application development, you will be responsible for designing and developing mobile apps, software solutions using RPGLE programming language on the IBM AS400 iSeries platform. You will collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality solutions to Fortune 500 organizations and companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain IBM AS400 iSeries platform-based applications using RPGLE programming language.
  • Experience in Integrated Language Environment (ILE) and creating and debugging RPG/CL programs.
  • Create Sub-procedures, Subroutines, and Service Programs.
  • Knowledge of SEU, PDM, DFU, and Spool files.
  • iSeries Navigator and Integrated File System (IFS) expertise preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • Web Services, XML, HTML, and JavaScript knowledge will be an added advantage.
Requirements:

5+ years of experience in IBM AS400 iSeries platform and RPGLE programming. Strong understanding of ILE and RPG/CL programming languages.

Ability to handle client requirements, create design documents, and walk clients through the development process.
