Job Opportunity:

A cloud engineer is sought to fill a remote position with a Singapore-based client. This offshore role will follow the working hours and public holidays as per Singapore.

The successful candidate will have a 1-year renewable contract of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To implement, manage, and troubleshoot AWS Technologies, ECS, and EKS proficiently.
  • Operate systems such as AWS Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Maintain, manage, and monitor cloud infrastructure.
  • Resolve IT infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
  • Proactively handle project tasks and support project implementation effectively.
  • Create high-quality technical documentation for projects.
  • Support out-of-hours work when necessary, following established protocols.
  • On-board new cloud technologies, challenge existing implementations in a professional and constructive manner.
  • Engage in cloud security activities to ensure data protection.
  • Comply with ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations of IT Infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification, indicating expertise in Kubernetes administration.
  • Have at least three years of experience working in AWS Cloud or a related field, demonstrating deep understanding and skills.
  • Be familiar with cloud security tools like Checkpoint, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and AWS Detective.
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, Engineering (Computer), or equivalent qualification in computer science.

Technical Skills:

  • Operating Systems: Red Hat, AWS Linux
  • Build Tools/CI/Virtual: AWS DevOps, Jenkins
  • Containers Environment: Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS
  • Cloud Technologies: Amazon Web Services
  • Automation/Scripting Languages: Terraform, Ansible, Shell Scripting, Python
  • Databases: MySQL
  • Others: Ansible *

Professional Certifications:

  • Preferrably hold certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer or related Linux certifications
  • Relevant Cloud Security certificates
