Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned Airfield Design Engineer to join our team as a Principal Engineer, with the potential to take on leadership roles as the team grows.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering airfield civil engineering design and maintenance projects from feasibility studies to construction. This will involve acting as the design lead, overseeing project delivery, and providing technical input throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver airfield civil engineering design and maintenance projects through various stages of design.
  • Act as the design lead for airfield civil engineering projects, taking ownership of their successful delivery.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications related to the delivery of airfield engineering projects.
  • Participate in design reviews to meet quality management requirements.
  • Provide technical input to designs throughout the full design process.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10 years of experience in civil infrastructure design at airports.
  • Civil engineering experience on large, technically complex airport projects from concept to detailed design and construction support.
  • Experience managing engineering professionals in aviation project delivery.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with team members, industry associates, and clients.
  • Competent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet business objectives.
  • Knowledge of international airfield design standards and relevant software packages.
