Fund Accounting Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage a team of executives and finance professionals within the Fund Accounting unit. You will be responsible for providing strategic direction, ensuring strict compliance with mutual fund regulations, and proactively identifying potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of executives and finance professionals in the Fund Accounting unit, providing clear direction and setting expectations to ensure efficient and effective teamwork.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict compliance with mutual fund regulations, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate internal controls related to NAV (Net Asset Value) to safeguard the scheme's financial health and integrity.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as Unit Administrative Operations, Custody, and the Investments function, to achieve broader business goals and meet regulatory requirements around Fund Accounting.
  • Training & Development: Train, mentor, and support team members in their professional development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in team leadership within a finance or fund accounting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mutual fund regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in risk identification and implementing internal controls related to NAV.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or a professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA).
