A highly skilled and experienced surveillance professional is sought after by HSBC to manage time-critical and sensitive financial crime surveillance issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, regulations, and capital market products.
About the Role:
The Assistant Vice President - L2 Surveillance will be responsible for identifying and investigating potential regulatory and internal misconduct risks amongst employees and associated functions. Key responsibilities include managing surveillance tactical controls, drawing conclusions from analysis, and advising senior management on necessary actions. Additionally, the role involves working closely with regional SMEs to understand new regulatory requirements and partnering with surveillance leads to strengthen the footprint in Sub-Hubs.
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess experience in a surveillance or compliance role, knowledge of financial markets, and sound judgment to manage surveillance issues. Strong analytical and communication skills are also essential. Compliance certification and knowledge of regulatory norms around capital markets are desirable. Experience in audit-related work, trading, or dealing in capital markets is also valuable.
