Physics Researcher - AI Model Evaluation

We are seeking a highly skilled Physics Researcher to contribute to the development and evaluation of large language models (LLMs) in complex physics domains.

Our research focuses on fine-tuning and evaluating LLMs to improve their ability to understand and solve advanced physics problems, including mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum theory.

  • As a researcher, you will be responsible for solving challenging physics problems and providing clear, structured explanations to aid model improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate LLM performance in solving complex physics problems
  • Contribute to the development of new tasks and workflows to improve model training and evaluation
  • Collaborate with a global network of experts shaping next-generation AI benchmarks

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD or Postdoc in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve advanced physics problems
  • Excellent communication skills with clarity in explaining complex topics
  • Research independence with the ability to work remotely and participate actively in team discussions

About this role:

  • This is a contractor assignment/freelancer position with no medical/paid leave
