Job Title: Big Data Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data systems using Apache Trino (PrestoSQL).

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance data architectures using Trino in production environments.
  • Optimize SQL queries for maximum efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in big data technologies.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge-sharing resources for team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in big data engineering, architecture, and development.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, including Hive Metastore, Iceberg, Delta Lake, and HDFS.
  • Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, and troubleshooting JVM-based applications.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes or Docker.
