Our organization is seeking an In-House Legal Counsel to join our Global Legal and Compliance Team. This role will support development and sales activities across multiple regions, providing legal guidance on domestic and international matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex software licensing agreements with clients worldwide.
  • Prepare and negotiate IT-service, procurement, and purchase agreements, service descriptions, and company policies.
  • Provide legal support on project agreements, commercial contracts, and corporate documents.
  • Maintain and enhance contract management systems.
  • Act as the primary legal advisor for local management teams in India, providing legal guidance on HR law, property, procurement, labor, and administrative law.
  • Support regional management with legal risk assessments and compliance with Indian law and international trade standards.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues on cross-border projects, policies, and compliance frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Admitted as a Solicitor / Advocate in India (or eligible).
  • Graduated from a reputed law school with above-average results / 5+ years of legal experience (law firm and/or in-house).
  • At least 3 years as in-house counsel in a global or established corporate team.
  • Proven expertise in Technology, Media, Telecom law, IP/IT law, software licensing, and SaaS contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian regulations, business English, negotiation, and contract-drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal issues independently.
