Cloud Operations Support Engineer Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Support Engineer to join our team.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based RAN and Core Network platforms. This involves proactively monitoring the production environment, taking a holistic view of system health, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and maintain the availability and reliability of cloud-based RAN and Core Network platforms.
  2. Improve system performance through automation, process refinement, and best practices.
  3. Optimize resource utilization and ensure efficient user experience.
  4. Ensure services are available and infrastructure is properly functioning.
  5. Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and related cloud infrastructure.
  6. Implement and maintain containerization strategies and orchestration best practices.
  7. Manage and troubleshoot Robin storage solutions within the Kubernetes environment.
  8. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native RAN and Core applications.
  9. Provision, scale, and optimize cloud resources for network functions.
  10. Collaborate on high-priority incident tickets, ensuring rapid system recovery.
  11. Provide technical insights and support for cloud-native network functions.
  12. Lead Problem Management efforts, including Root Cause Analysis, for complex incidents.
  13. Identify bugs and work with development teams to implement fixes.
  14. Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
  15. Define and track Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
  16. Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks.
  17. Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  18. Support Governance Reports by providing technical data and insights.
  19. Handle customer queries with technical expertise.
  20. Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of cloud operations and cloud-native technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
  • Familiarity with automation scripting languages.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
